+ " Karl is best known for captivating audiences with his powerful and captivating falsetto voice reminiscent of Motown, The Stylistics, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many others from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Karl began his career in 1989 singing in local clubs and talent shows in Vallejo, California. He won 4 talent shows and began singing with the Temptin T's, a group that emulated the Temptations. He later appeared on stage with the Temptations in Lake Tahoe and at the Solano County Fair in 1993. + " \"Smiling Hal\" has been a musician on the Bay Area scene for many years, going back to the 70's. He initially played stand-up bassist with the Oakland Youth Symphony, the Vallejo Symphony and the Napa Symphony. In the 80's Hal did a couple of albums with the progressive rock group Magellan, which led to laying a track for the Explorers Club featuring such notables as Steve Walsh from \"Kansas\" and Terry Bozzio from Missing Persons. He recently finished a thirteen year stint with the R & B/Funk group Papa Joe & The Bouncers. Hal can also be heard laying down the bass and covering the lead vocals for his blues group, The Fast Fours. In the spring of 2008 Hal was mighty happy to join forces with Solid Ground. " + " | "

+ " Dion brings many years of experience playing drums to Solid Ground. His first influence was by his father a Latin percussionist with the Hal Moffitt quartet, where Dion's roots in jazz began. Throughout his high school years he competed with the likes of Rodney Franklin of the Berkeley Jazz Combo and Patrice Rushin of the Concord Area. Dion and his Richmond High Jazz Ensemble won top awards four years consecutively at the Monterey and Reno Jazz Festivals for High School and College competition. + " Terry, born and raised in Cleveland, has had an extensive musical career throughout the years. His professional career began in 1975. He served 8 years in the Air Force Band, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Dayton, Ohio). There he contributed in a variety of musical ways, including performing on clarinet, keyboards, and percussion, as well as conducting. In addition, he has contributed numerous musical arrangements for concert bands, jazz bands, rock bands, and protocol combos. His taste for the written arrangement continued after his service enlistment (1983) as a civilian contractor for the military as well as Air Force Entertainment's world-wide talent competitions (conducting and arranging). Due to a shortage of personnel in 1990, the Air Force requested Terry's services by offering yet another enlistment. While stationed at Travis Air Force Base, California, he focused mainly on keyboards, but again contributed numerous arrangements (and original compositions which were later recorded) in a variety of musical genres. The Air Force band's mission of upholding high standards for community relations and bolstering peacetime morale eventually led Terry to public performances shared with musical giants Bob Hope, Constance Towers, and Toni Tenille among others. His military career concluded in 1993, having received his second honorable discharge (and two commendation medals).
